Children's Photography Shoot - Balham
I had been asked to photograph these two characterful children following a recommendation from a family photo shoot I had done a couple of weeks earlier.
I arrived at their house in Balham one Sunday morning and to get the kids active their mother, Candace, got them both rolling and cutting out shapes to make a Christmas gingerbread house. It is always good to get kids involved in an activity they will enjoy as they will naturally engage with whatever they are doing and their characters and interest will show through in the photographs.
I love some of the photos taken during the baking of both Zoe (aged 5) and Rorke (aged 2) - including the image above.
Once the gingerbread shapes were put into the over we went into the playroom where the children played and read.
With the gingerbread biscuits baked, we got the kids kitted up to go outside to Wandsworth Common nearby. The children played in the trees and at the playground before we stopped at the cafe for a warming cup of hot chocolate - all great opportunities to photograph the kids.
We then headed back home to end the photography session.
A lovely, fun photo shoot with two delightful children.
